Aurum began in 2009 after a long, fruitless search for natural, food-grade, high-quality body care items free of artificial colors, fragrances, preservatives, and plastic bottle exposure. The result was the development of lip balms and toothpastes I personally felt comfortable using.  After making beeswax candles and organic nut butters for friends, I started offering them at farmers markets throughout southeast Michigan.  Today I firmly believe that every Aurum product meets and exceeds quality standards with which even the most discerning purists can be comfortable.
